Vera Frances O’Dell, 76, of Brunswick, passed away at home Saturday, December 13, 2014. She was born July 20, 1938, to Romey and Melva (nee Hinzman) Goad, in Cabin Creek, West Virginia. She was married to Earl D. O’Dell (deceased) for 51 years.
She is survived by children, Glenda (Joseph) Hodges of Medina and Gregory, Sr. (Denise) O’Dell of Brunswick; adoring grandchildren, Katelyn (nee Bolton) (Jarred) McCullough of Grafton, Austin, Kyle and Ellyn of Medina; Gregory, Jr., Ryan, and Clayton O’Dell of Brunswick; precious great-grandchildren, Paisley and Bennett McCullough; sister, Myrna Vickery of Jacksonville, Florida; and faithful poodle, Sandy.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
She was a loving devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved every minute she was with her family. She was employed by Brunswick City Schools for 25 years, 1978-2002, with most of the years at Kidder Elementary School. She loved being with her family, crocheting, jigsaw puzzles, and she daily did the crossword puzzle in the newspapers.
Family will receive friends Thursday, December 18, 2014, from 2 until 4 and 6 until 8 P.M., at Waite and Son Funeral Home, 3300 Center Rd., Brunswick. Service will be held Friday, December 19, at 11 A.M., in the funeral home. Entombment will be at Hope Memorial Gardens, Hinckley.
