Eugene “Gene” Konewecke, 63, of Valley City, died Friday, November 28, 2014. He was born December 17, 1950.
He was the beloved husband of Kathy (nee Sliwinski); devoted father of Rachelle Potter (Eric) and Steven; cherished grandfather of Tyler, Matthew and Kyle Potter; dearest son of the late Eugene and June; son-in-law of Mary Ann and the late Frank Sliwinski; brother of Sandra Betzel, Lenore Miroewski (Wasil) and Nadine Skulina (Joseph); brother-in-law of Frank (Julie), Kim, Karl (Mary Ann) and Mark Sliwinski; uncle of Jason, Daniel, Michelle, Michael, Brian, Eric, Kevin, David, Hanna, Alaina and Christopher; companion of his beloved dog, Maggie Mae and dear friend of many.
Celebration of Life Service will be Wednesday, December 3, 2014, at 8 P.M., at the funeral home. Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 until 5 and 6 until 8 P.M., at the A. Ripepi and Sons Funeral Home, 18149 Bagley Road, Middleburg Heights, (West of I-71)
