Surrounded by her loving family, Janet Ann McClellan Simmons, 74, went to see Jesus Wednesday, October 8, 2014, after a long illness. Janet was born in Beverly, West Virginia on January 8, 1940 to Lee and Louise (Smith) McClellan, but was raised by her grandparents, Trudy (Mulnix) and Raymond (Poker) McClellan.
Janet leaves behind her loving husband of 57 years, Bill Simmons. They were high school sweethearts and married April 21, 1957. Janet and Bill have four loving daughters, Diana (Ron) Budney, Robin Simmons, Mariann (Danny) Wiita, and Lynn (Dan) Mooney. She was blessed with 10 grandchildren, Bill Budney, Stefanie (Mike) Wiita Bitto, Jeremy (Nicole) Simmons, Derek (Laura) Wiita, Timothy (Emily) Budney, Kristen (Brennan) Mooney Ashby, Wade Wiita, Nathan Budney, Eric Mooney, and Kory Wiita. She was excited about the birth of each of her great-grandchildren, Isaiah Wiita, Sean Simmons, Lee Simmons, Daniel Bitto, Julia Ashby, Jacob Bitto, and Max Budney. Janet also leaves behind her loving sisters and brothers, Peg (Woody) Johnston and Judy (Bob) Plew, Mike (Debbie) McClellan, and Don McClellan. She also was loved by many other cousins, family members, friends, and church family.
Janet’s family invites you to join them for a Memorial Service Saturday, October 25, 2014, 2 P.M., at the Ridgewood Baptist Church, 7891 Ridge Road, Wadsworth.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Medina County, 5075 Windfall Road, Medina, OH 44256 or Ridgewood Baptist Church.
