James Jay Wells, born May 29, 1925 in Hamden, Ohio, to Woody Jay Wells and Martha (Neumeister) Wells, passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2014, at the age of 89.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 64 years, Beatrice Wells; daughter, Linda Olson and husband, Danny; grandchildren, Erica and husband, Mike, Keith and wife, Becky, Brigg and wife, Kelliey; great-grandchildren, Clarie, Margot, David, Rebecca, Olyvia and Justin; five great-great-grandchildren; numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
Jim is preceded in death by both his parents; son, Mark Jay Wells; sister, Martha Marshall; brother, Vaughn Wells.
Jim served proudly in the United States Marine Corps. He was a life-long electrician and a member of the IBEW Union. Jim loved Bea’s apple pie, fishing and Western movies. He loved watching his great-grandchildren play. Jim will be missed dearly by his family.
A funeral service will be held 12 Noon, Saturday, September 20, 2014, at Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina. James will be laid to rest in Poe Cemetery in Montville Township.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Lung Association, in Jim’s memory, at lung.org.
