Robert A. “Bob” Weber, 73, a longtime resident of Medina, peacefully passed away at his home Sunday, September 14, 2014. He was born in Cleveland, to the late Karl and Pauline Weber.
He proudly served in the U.S. Army. Bob then went to work as a carpenter, building many structures in Medina County. Self-proclaimed “Fix-it-up-Bob” was an ultimate handyman, solving any problem thrown his way. Bob’s self-sacrificing nature led him to go out of his way to serve family and friends. In his spare time, he enjoyed relaxing on his porch with his wife and beloved dog, Peaches.
Bob married his high school sweetheart, Marlene in 1960. A 55 year marriage brought them two children, Debi (Jerry) and Jeff (Linda). He was a proud and loving Papa to his three granddaughters, Kouri, Kairie and Chloe. His big heart, wit and sense of humor will be deeply missed by his family and friends, but they find comfort in knowing he is once again having breakfast in heaven with his lifelong friend, Wayne.
The calling hours will be held Wednesday, September 17, 2014, from 5 until 8 P.M., at the Bauer Funeral Home, 2089 Columbia Road, Valley City. A private burial will be held at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman.
