Jerry E. Sullivan

Jerry E. Sullivan, 91, of Litchfield, passed onto his heavenly home on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. Jerry was born in Cleveland on June 24, 1921 to the late Jeremiah and Charlotte Sullivan. He lived in Cleveland for many years, prior to moving to Medina County in 1972.

Jerry was a Chief Petty Officer First Class, serving in the Navy during World War II and Korea, where he served duties in damage control and as a welder.

Jerry had retired from NASA after 21 years as a welder. He owned and operated Specialty Welding-Tig Tech in Litchfield.

Jerry enjoyed singing, and was a tenor in the Jelado Four Barbershop quartet in Cleveland.

He is survived by his children, Michael Sullivan, Claudia Betz, Donald Sullivan, John Sullivan, Carole Horne and Joyce Pugliese; grandchildren, Jessica Roberts, Kenneth Horne, Jr., Kevin Horne, Angela Crouch and Rachel Sheers; great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Elijah, Braxton, Aven, Oliver and Eviana.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie in 1993.

A private family service was held and interment at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman.
