Jeffrey Derhammer, 72, of Rittman, passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2014. He was born in Lodi to the late Virgil and Barbara Louise Derhammer. He has lived in Medina and Wayne Counties all his life.
Jeff owned and operated Derhammer Concrete for 42 years. He had previously worked at Medina Supply and Kreider Trucking. Jeff graduated in 1962 from Cloverleaf High School. He enjoyed his pets and helping others.
He is survived by his brother, David Derhammer; nephew, Eric; special friend, Peggy Johnson; neighbor, Elain; and family friend, Lester, as well as many friends and acquaintances over the years.
Service will be held Saturday, August 9, 2014 from the Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Acme Road, at 3 P.M., with The Reverend Dr. Ed Kropa officiating. Friends may call Saturday from 12 Noon until the time of service. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Memorials may be given to SPCA in Medina.
