Ralph M. Adkins, was reunited with the Love of his Life, Leona Wednesday, August 6, 2014, at age 90. Ralph was born February 21, 1924 in Branchland, West Virginia.
He was a proud veteran of WWII and retired from LTV Steel in 1986.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Leona R. Adkins (Poline). They were married for 57 years, until she joined the Lord in 2007. He was preceded by his parents, Mack and Ella Marinda Adkins (Wilson); five brothers, Okey, Jennings, Taylor, Kenneth, Everett Lee and two sisters, Myrtle Turner and Jewel Thompson.
He is survived by his children, Patricia Dobbins ( Bill), Lisa Cowgill, Janette Kamps (Ray), Paul Adkins (Melissa); 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and his faithful lapdog, Buttons.
He was a beloved cousin, uncle and great uncle to many. The Family would like to thank the dedicated volunteers at Meals on Wheels and Heartland Hospice Home Care. Friends and family will be received from 1 until 2 P.M., Friday, August 8, 2014, at Waite and Son Funeral Home, 3300 Center Rd., Brunswick, OH 44212. A graveside service will follow at 2:30 P.M., at Eastlawn Memory Gardens, Brunswick, OH.
