Sherri Marie Grandy (nee Dixon), 51, of Wakeman, passed away Monday, August 4, 2014, at her home. She was born October 13, 1962, in Lorain.
Sherri made her home in the Collins and Wakeman area, graduating from Western Reserve High School.
Sherri owned an operated her own custom jewelry store in Medina. Her employment also included working at Geo Track Insurance Company as an Accounts Receivable Manager and Conetico Water. Sherri loved caring for her home and working in her yard. As her children were growing up in school, she was an active volunteer. Her greatest joy was spending time with her friends and family. She especially enjoyed attending her children’s sporting events.
She will be missed by her sons, Jeff Grandy of Columbus, Brett Grandy of Marble Head; her daughters, Angela Blissenbach and her husband, James of Columbus, Brittney Grandy of West Milton, Ohio; her grandchildren, Hunter, Taylor, J.J., Trenton, Muck and Kalee; her father, Thomas Dixon and his wife, Ann of Collins; her brothers, Keith Dixon of Plaino Texas and Brian Dixon of Kentucky.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Carol Dixon (nee Gandee) in 2003.
Friends may call Wednesday, August 6, 2014, from 5 until 9 P.M., at the Hempel Funeral Home, 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 7, 2014, 1 P.M., at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Hartland Ridge Cemetery, Hartland, Ohio.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to New Life Hospice, 3500 Kolbe Road, Lorain, OH 44053.
