Edward P. Koester, 72, of Wadsworth, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 31, 2014. Ed was born on February 8, 1942 to the late Edward and Alva (nee Kluth) in Cleveland.
Ed worked at the Medina Metropolitan Housing Authority for 10 years. In his free time, he enjoyed playing golf, making candles for his wife, being an active member of Cornerstone Chapel, and traveling to Naples, Florida as often as he could. Ed will be missed by his beloved wife of 39 years, Patti; his adoring children, Cindy (Harold) Bonsel of Medina, Don Tatter of Medina, Kelly (Bruce) Toth of Wadsworth, Eddie (Theresa) Koester of North Ridgeville, and Kelly Knable of Virginia; his nine cherished grandchildren; his treasured great grandchild; and his loving siblings, Roland Kluth of Medina, Peter Kluth of Wadsworth, and Debbie Steiner of Medina.
Ed is preceded in death by his sister, Pam Kluth. Friends may call on Monday, August 4, 2014 from 5 P.M. 8 P.M. at Waite and Son Funeral Home, 765 N Court Street, Medina. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 5, at 10 A.M. with Pastor Jeffery Kolodziej officiating. Burial with Honors will follow the service at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio.
