Elmer W. “Bud” Steward, 65, of Wadsworth, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2014. He was born September 4, 1948, in Jamestown, New York, to the late Elmer W. and Mary Steward.
Mr. Steward was active in the operations of SkyPark Airport and was a licensed pilot since 1992. He was a sportsman and enjoying hunting, fishing and motorcycles. He was a member of Harrisville Lodge #137 F&AM, a member of the Rittman Moose, Wadsworth Eagles and Green Cove Springs, FL Elks.
Bud was preceded in death by his grandson, Tyler Wise.
He is survived by his wife, Michele, with whom he celebrated 38 years of marriage; their children, Scott Steward of Cleveland, Lisa (Dennis) Wiges of Texas, Holly Clawson of Wadsworth, and Jessica (Paul) Wander of Wadsworth. There are his grandchildren, Tyler and Trenton Wiges, Taylor Steward, Julianne Clawson and Lillian Wander; his siblings, Larry (Linda) Steward, Randy Steward, Sue Freitas and Russell (Sandy) Steward. He is also survived by his business partner, Joel Kull and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 2 until 4 and 6 until 8 P.M., Thursday, June 26, 2014, at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St., Wadsworth. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 P.M., Friday, June 27, 2014, at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 146 College St. Wadsworth.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the funeral home, to assist the family with final expenses.
