Michael L. Moore, Sr., 62, of Rittman, formerly of Akron, died Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at Summa Wadsworth-Rittman Hospital. He was born May 24, 1952 in Akron to Lee and Obelia Moore and lived in Akron before moving to Rittman 19 years ago.
Mike was employed by the former B & L Steel Company in Medina and attended the Eastern Road Church of God in Rittman. He married Brenda Rising on September 4, 1995, they have been happily married nearly 19 years and she survives. He enjoyed spending time with his family, helping with the food bank at the church, riding motorcycles and working in his garage.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his sons, Steven, Thomas, Kenny (Kim) and Michael Moore, Jr., all of Rittman and Bill (Jennifer) Moore of Barberton; daughter, Cynthia Moore of West Elkton; 12 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brothers, Moses (Sharon) Moore of West Salem, Kenny (Joyce) Moore of Wooster and Roger Moore of Akron; sisters, Geneva Rauch of Tallmadge, Maxine (Francis) Dye of Ava, Missouri, Hazel “Toots” Reich of Wadsworth; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Donna Bylsma and Pamela and Mary Moore; brothers, Jerry, Danny, Ronald and Billy Moore.
Services will be held Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at 2 P.M. at Auble-Gillman Funeral Home, 360 W. Sunset Dr., Rittman, with Pastor Faron Cole officiating. Burial will be at Litchfield Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 P.M., Monday, June 9, 2014 and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
