Janice G. Schlak, 67, of Montville Twp., Medina, passed away Thursday, June 5, 2014. She was born June 20, 1946 in New Salem, North Dakota, to Ervin and Erna (nee Rueb) Peltz.
She was the Office Manager at Baldwin Wallace University Development Office before retiring. She married Henry Schlak on October 16, 1965. Janice was a true homemaker, enjoying her family especially her grandchildren and working in her garden with her prized roses, crocheting and sharing her love of baking and cooking. She was a woman of great faith. She enjoyed reading Christian books and the Bible. She was a member of Harvest Time Assembly of God Church and the Women’s Ministries.
Janice will forever be in the hearts of her family: husband, Henry; daughters, Anita (Peter) Zervopoulos, Malinda (Robert) Och; son, Jeffrey (Emily); grandchildren, Claire, Henry; brothers, Rudolph (Darlene) Peltz, Vernon (Mary) Peltz; sister, Diane (Dave) Rydin.
Friends may join the family for visitation Monday, June 9, 2014 from 4 to 7 P.M. at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road (corner of River Styx and Rt. 18) Medina. Funeral Service also at the funeral home will be Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at 10 A.M. Reverend Jim Thomas will officiate. Burial will follow in Poe Cemetery.
