Alice Margaret Joppeck, 74, passed away from natural causes on Sunday, June 1, 2014 at her home. She was born October 6, 1939 to the late Max and Irene Joppeck.
Alice resided in Chippewa Lake most of her life where she raised her three sons independently. Alice worked at Plastikote in Medina for 25 years before retirement. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching and walking. She walked eight miles a day for 20 years until her devastating stroke in November 2013. Her family made it possible for her to return home in March 2014. She spent the rest of her days enjoying her life at home and in her garden where she wanted to be.
Alice will be deeply missed by her sons, Darrell (Pam) Hodges of Spencer, Terry (Kathy) Hodges of Medina, and Dave (Heidi) Hodges of Homerville; her grandchildren, Tanya Hodges (Kevin Jackson), Robin Hodges (Randy Pierpoint), Alicia Hodges, Hunter Hodges, Autumn Hodges and Zach Ashley; her great grandchildren, Austin and Hailey Johnson, Kaelynn and Madison Jackson and Alexandria Hodges.
She was proceeded in death by her parents; and her grandson, Jeffrey Hodges.
There will not be any service per her request. The family will hold a celebration of her life Wednesday, June 4 2014 at the Wellington Eagles Club on Rt. 58 in Wellington, Ohio from 3 P.M. to 7 P.M.
