David L. Reisinger

OBIT FLAGDavid L. Reisinger, 79, of Spencer, passed away Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Autumnwood Nursing and Rehab Center in Rittman, under the care of Crossroads Hospice. He was born April 20, 1935 in Elyria, to Louis and Lucile Bennett Reisinger.

He graduated from Spencer High School in 1953 and served with the U.S. Army in Post Korea. He married Brenda Butcher on May 27, 1961.

David resided in Spencer most of his life, where he had been a member of the Spencer Fire Dept. and the Spencer American Legion Post. He was also a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church and had been a truck driver and farmer before retiring in 2007.

Surviving are his wife, Brenda; daughters, Kathy (Bob) Curtiss of Houston, Texas, Margaret (Rich) Kinsey of Brickhaven, Ohio, Jeanne (Bud) Gleisner of Sullivan; sons, Mark (Christine) Reisinger of Wellington and Tom (Karen) Reisinger of Sullivan, Eric (Megan) Reisinger of Booneville, Missouri; 14 grandchildren; four great granddaughters; sister, Alice Yunker of Elyria; many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass will be held Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at 11 A.M. at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church, 9608 Norwalk Rd., Litchfield. Father Ron Bryda will officiate. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 13, 2014 from 4 to 7 P.M. at the Parker & Son Funeral Home, 202 East Main St., Spencer (330) 648-2180. Inurnment will be Thursday, May 15, 2014 at 11:30 A.M. in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman.
