Amerigo “Curly” Storace, 101, of Strongsville, peacefully passed away, in the presence of precious loved ones, Saturday, March 22, 2014 at the Western Reserve Masonic Community in Medina.
He was the beloved husband of 73 years, to the late Julia; the devoted father of Jayne Thompson (Gary); doting and cherished grandfather of Todd Thompson (Olga), Leslie Coleman (Jack), and Sara Stifter (Jason), the loves of his life; very proud and loving great-grandfather to Lindsey, Ethan, Rachel, Julian and Logan. He was born December 9, 1912, in Steubenville, the first born to the late Tommaso and Teresa,
eldest brother to five siblings in Montelanico, Italy; nephew, cousin, son-in-law, brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle and godfather to many, whom he loved so dearly. His passing ends a generation in the Storace-Racca-Wade and Forint-Petrigala families. He was blessed by many friendships over all the years. He leaves a legacy which is both honorable and inspiring. Visitation will be Thursday, March 27, 2014, 4 until 8 P.M., at Jardine Funeral Home, 15822 Pearl Road, Strongsville. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, March 28, 2014, 10 A.M., at St. John Neumann Church, 16271 Pearl Road, Strongsville.
