Jerry W. Marshall

Jerry Wayne Marshall, 67, of Homerville, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 7, 1947 in Hemphill, West Virginia, to Judd and Ruby (Hurt) Marshall.

He graduated in 1965 from Welch High School in Welch, West Virginia, and entered the U.S. Air Force shortly thereafter.

He was married to the love of his life, Carol Jones on April 20, 1968. They resided in the Lodi area the past 36 years. Jerry retired from Westfield Insurance in 2008, following 38 years of service. He was a former Westfield Center volunteer fireman. He also served on the Harrisville Twp. Zoning Board and was a member of the Lodi United Methodist Church.

Jerry was a gifted wood worker and made many beautiful items during his lifetime. These wonderful works of art will be treasured by family members and friends for many years to come. He will be missed by his family and friends as a true gentle soul who loved his family with great passion. Jerry was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather and uncle.

Surviving are his wife, Carol; son, Jason (Sara) Marshall of Homerville; two grandchildren, Benjamin and Isabella; two sisters, Joyce (Jim) Craddock of Medina, Vicky Marshall of Medina; nephews, Jon (Lori) Craddock, Joe (Ellen) Craddock; great-nephew, Tristan; great-nieces, Berkeley and Mackenzie; and sister-in-law, Darvel (John) Kich of Wooster.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Judd; and in-laws, Howard and Alice Jones.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 15, 2014, at 11 A.M., at the Lodi United Methodist Church, 320 Medina St., Lodi. Reverend Donald Kuntz will officiate. Visitation will be Friday, March 14, 2014, from 6 until 8 P.M., at the Parker & Son Funeral Home, 210 Medina St., Lodi.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Lodi United Methodist Church.
