On Monday, February 24, 2014, David Edwin McGuire, 88, died peacefully following a courageous battle with cancer. He was raised and educated in Wooster, residing there until relocating to Florida.
He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy.
He is survived by his sons, Donald Edward McGuire (Deborah) of Kingwood, Texas, Douglas James McGuire (Linda) of Wooster; daughter, Rev. Beth A. McGuire (David Kersten) of Medina; son, David Allen Krajcik (Nancy) of Minerva, Ohio; daughters, Meredith Cosentino (Rod) of Wooster and Robin Krajcik of Atlanta, Georgia; 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; and sister, Harriot Ann Coker, still resides in Alachua, Florida.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at 11 A.M. at First United Methodist Church, Auburndale, Florida. A military service will be held at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Thursday, February 27, 2014 at 10 A.M.
