James Joseph Bayura

James Joseph Bayura of Brunswick, passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2013, surrounded by his family. He was born March 27, 1944 in Hempfield, Pennsylvania, to Thomas and Helen (nee Gornick) Bayura. He was raised by Henry and Anne Russian.

James will be missed by his wife, Cynthia (Anderson); daughters, Michelle (Scott) Poley, Melissa (Matthew) Markell, and Joan (Jonathon) Callahan; brothers, Joseph and Dennis Russian; sisters, Mary (Fred) Stynchula, Virginia Andolino and Kathleen Queen; and grandchild, Helena. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Preceded by his parents; brothers Thomas and Paul; sisters, Helen Rigby and Frances Damico; brothers-in-law, Vincent Andolino, William Queen and James Damico.

James served in Vietnam in the U.S. Air Force, enjoyed the VFW #9520, gardening and carpentry. He was a devoted family man.

Friends may join the family for visitation on Sunday, September 29, 2013, from 1 to 5 P.M., at Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road (1/2 mile South of Route 303), Brunswick. Mass of Christian Burial, Monday, September 30, 2013 at 8:45 A.M., with a brief visitation at 8:15 A.M., prior to Mass at St. Colette’s Catholic Church, 330 West 130th Street, Brunswick (Please meet at church). Interment will follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be made to the Cleveland Clinic Hospice, 6801 Brecksville Road, Independence, OH 44131.
