Jean M. Post

Jean M. Post, 92, of Medina, passed into her Lord’s arms Friday, September 6, 2013 following a lengthy illness. Jean was born January 18, 1921 in Lorain, to the late Irvin and Emma (Wargo) Kienzle.

She was a longtime member of the United Church of Christ Congregational, member of Westfield Group Country Club, member of the Order of the Eastern Star, volunteered for the American Red Cross Blood Mobiles and served as the Board of Director at Standard Welding & Steel Products.

Jean is best remembered for her love and appreciation of her family and friends, for her beautiful, perpetual smile, her passion for flowers and gardening, her adventures of travel and her athleticism in golf, tennis and swimming. She loved finessing her opponents in Bridge and Dominoes. She was an avid Ohio State Fan, O-H – -, master seamstress, homemaker who loved to decorate for all seasons and holidays. She was small in stature but big in heart, always a vision of coordinated style.

Jean is survived by her son, Jeff (Becky) Post of San Antonio, Texas; daughter, Jan (Tad) Coleman of Medina; grandchildren, Andy (Julie) Post, Chris (Margo) Coleman, Kellie (Crell) Johns and Jack (Leslie) Coleman; great grandchildren, Tyler and Ryan Post, Cairyse and Caine Coleman, Carleigh and Katherine Johns, Lindsey and Rachel Coleman; and very special friend, Grace Zay.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack, to whom she was married 55 years; sisters Gertrude, Elva and Irma Kienzle.

Services will be held Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at 11 A.M., at United Church of Christ Congregational, 217 E. Liberty St., Medina. Dr. Neal R. Sadler will officiate. Family will receive friends Monday, September 9, 2013 from 3 to 8 P.M. at the Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina and one hour prior to services on Tuesday at the church. Private burial will be held at Spring Grove Cemetery.

Family suggests contributions be made to United Church of Christ Congregational at the above address; Society for Handicapped Citizens, 4283 Paradise Road, Seville, OH 44273; and Hospice of Medina County, 5075 Windfall Road, Medina, OH 44256.

Jean and her family appreciated the many caregivers who touched their lives over the past 4 and a half years with their supportive and gentle ways.
