William “Chuck” Keaton, 85, of Brunswick, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 6, 2013 in his home, surrounded by his family. He was born on December 31, 1927 to William and Mildred (nee Denny) Keaton in Cleveland. Chuck was a U.S. Army veteran having served in Japan post WWII and retired from General Electric. He was a John Wayne fan, overall handyman and carpenter. Chuck volunteered many hours to the Brunswick Food Pantry. He was also a life-time member of the Brunswick VFW Post 9520 and of the Clifton Ashton Lodge Masons.
The beloved husband of Patricia (nee Allen) Keaton; loving father of Bill, Denny (Laura), Jim (Shelly) and Ruth (Don); amused grandfather of ten; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Nancy; and siblings, Betty and Alan.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 8, 2013 from 2 to 5 P.M. at Waite and Son Funeral Home, 3300 Center Rd., Brunswick 44212. Service will be held on Monday, September 9, 2013 at 11 A.M. at the funeral home with Reverend Dr. John Mills officiating. Burial will follow at Hope Memorial Gardens in Hinckley, at a later date.
