Betty D. Hunter, 88, longtime resident of Medina, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2013 in Chardon. She was born February 1, 1925 in Lakewood, to the late Chester W. and Myrtle M. (Steinmetz) Weber.
Betty was a licensed registered nurse for St. Thomas Hospital in Akron and later helped her husband on the family dairy farm. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and helping out her family was her greatest priority. Betty was also an active member of Poe United Methodist Church since childhood.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years, Robert D. Hunter; her dear children, Mark (Cindy) Hunter of Houston, Texas and Gwen (David) Carlson of Chardon; dear grandchildren, Kristin (Edward) Yeomans, Paul (Jenny) Carlson and Derek Alan Carlson; and her great granddaughter, Livia Priscilla Yeomans and another due soon.
Betty was preceded in death by her brothers, Keith and Duane Weber.
Service will be held at 12 Noon, Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina, with Rev. James Patterson officiating. Burial will be at Poe Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 10 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home.
